
Brands Hatch was the venue for rounds 13 and 14 of the Formula Three Season and Jordan’s third race in a Formula Three car. Brands Hatch is arguably the most exhilarating circuit in the UK and a real driver’s circuit. That said, Jordan had never driven on the GP circuit before and the team had never run an F3 car there, before this weekend.

The final official test of the Formula BMW season took place in blisteringly hot conditions at the Hungaroring last week. This only being Jordan’s third time out in a Formula BMW this year, was a good opportunity to prove himself as a contender in the series before the British Grand Prix round this weekend. Having never been to the circuit before, Jordan used the first day of the test to get his head around the long twisting circuit in Budapest. By the end of the first day he had finished up 13th and 11th in the two sessions of the 26 car field. This was pleasing but he still felt there was a lot more to come from the car and his driving.

‘Being thrown in at the deep end’ is the only way that Jordan’s debut into Formula 3 can be described. Having never driven an F3 car ever before in his life, Jordan was recruited by his former Formula BMW Team, Team Loctite, to compete in the F3 round at Snetterton. This was always going to be a huge challenge for Jordan to just turn up at Snetterton and race and he was understandably apprehensive, but by the very first few laps of the practice session these worries soon disappeared and he never looked back.

On Wednesday 30th January, Jordan had his first outing in a car since the Formula BMW World Final in November 2007. However this test was a very different occasion for the Tavistock youngster, now racing in the ice cold English winter weather instead of sunny Spain. Arriving at Snetterton in Norfolk, Jordan was today testing a Formula Renault for the first time. A much faster car that he had ever driven.

The final action for Jordan in the 2007 season was to compete in the Formula BMW World Final, November 23-25th, which was held at the Circuit de la Comunitat Valenciana Ricardo Tormo, in Valencia. The event was a fantastic 4 day experience that was the culmination of the years Formula BMW Championships from around the world, UK, Germany, USA and Asia. There was a lot of publicity surrounding this event, as the winner would receive a F1 BMW test as well as huge prize monies. The weekend was attended by the Formula 1 BMW team with Drivers Nick Heidfield and Sebastian Vettel as well as other BMW drivers and personnel including BMW’s Motorsport Chief Mario Theissen and World Touring Car triple World Champion Andy Priaulx.

The Formula BMW UK series returned to Brands Hatch for the penultimate meeting of the year. After visiting the circuit at the start of the year, Jordan hoped for a much better result on his return visit. However as had been the case in the opening meeting of the year Jordan and indeed, the team did not have the ultimate pace around the short tight circuit. After a very disappointing qualifying on Saturday, Jordan had to start from 14th in the first race and 16th in the second race.

Formula BMW travelled to Norfolk for the 7th meeting of the 2007 season to Snetterton, a circuit at which Jordan raced in his first ever car race and gained his first podium in the Junior Ginetta British Championship in 2006.

The Formula BMW UK season reached two thirds distance on the 14 and 15th July at the Donington Park circuit in Leicestershire. The weekend was one of the most tricky so far as conditions ranged between dry and sunny to windy monsoon like rain. At one of the most technical circuits on this years calendar this round would be a test of any drivers capabilities, especially as Jordan had never raced at the circuit.

Last weekend was the 9th and 10th rounds of the championship at Oulton Park. After a massive accident in Friday practice, Jordan had to really get on with the job with little experience of the very tricky Cheshire circuit.

The next two rounds of the 2007 Formula BMW UK championship were held at the Croft circuit in North Yorkshire. With Croft being another circuit that Jordan relished competing on last year, he came into the weekend with a high hope of recording his first top ten finishes.

The 3rd meeting of the Formula BMW UK season took place at Thruxton on the 5th and 6th of May. Thruxton is a circuit that Jordan enjoyed racing on last year in the Junior Ginetta with much success, winning twice.

The next instalment of the Formula BMW UK championship was held at the Rockingham Motor Speedway on the 22nd and 23rd April.
Free practice and qualifying followed a very similar theme to the first round at Brands Hatch with both Jordan and his team mates struggling to record the ultimate time to finish well on the time sheets. Jordan reached the final of the MSA British Race Elite programme after being selected as one of the final twenty drivers to be interviewed for the scheme. The initial amount of applicants for the scheme was 86 and after the judges whittled this number down to the final twenty, Jordan had to go to the Motor Sport Association’s headquarters in Colnbrook for a final interview to help the judges decide which 6 drivers to choose for a place on the prestigious scheme. >> More

On the Thursday proceeding the first rounds of the Formula BMW UK 2007 Championship the official launch of the championship took place at Brands Hatch. With championship ambassador Nigel Mansell in attendance, the day was a good opportunity for Jordan to widen his media skills with numerous newspaper, magazine and radio interviews. >> More

On the 14th December Jordan travelled to Donington Park to test a Formula BMW car for the first time since the Formula BMW scholarship in 2005. It was also his first test day with his new team, Team Loctite. >> More

On Thursday 2nd November Jordan sampled a single seater car at the Welsh circuit as part of his championship prize for finishing second in the Junior Ginetta Championship. Jordan had three sessions around the Welsh circuit with driving tuition from ex-Formula Ford champion and Winning Le Mans Team Panoz Driver, Tom Kimber-Smith as well as data analysis from Team manager Paul Hague. >> More

Thruxton played host to the final meeting of the Ginetta Junior Championship on the 30th September and 1st October 2006. Coming into Thruxton, Jordan lay second in the championship behind James Harrison. The points gap was 38 points and with a maximum score of the weekend being 64 points it was still possible but realistically very difficult to gain the championship lead at the last hurdle. >> More

A long trip was in hand for the 9th and 10th rounds of the Junior Ginetta championship, the two races held far in the north at the Croft circuit. The weekend was one of mixed emotions, with two poles and win but a non finish in the first race. >> More

A visit to Brands Hatch on the 19/20th of August proved to be a very exciting meeting for the championship. Moving towards the business end of the season points were getting tight at the top. >> More
