The next instalment of the Formula BMW UK championship was held at the Rockingham Motor Speedway on the 22nd and 23rd April.
Free practice and qualifying followed a very similar theme to the first round at Brands Hatch with both Jordan and his team mates struggling to record the ultimate time to finish well on the time sheets. The two qualifying sessions provided Jordan with starting positions of 14th for both races on the Sunday.
The first race started well with Jordan making up a few places in the first lap however a mistake in the final turn left Jordan with a damaged suspension and subsequently having to retire from the race. Jordan said: "I didn’t warm up the tyres quite enough before the start of the race and after having a massive slide in the corner I have paid the price! I only just skimmed my front wheel on the tyre bale in the chicane but it was enough to put me out of the race. I am very disappointed but I will not ever do it again!.
The second race panned out much better for Jordan. With the race starting much better than the first Jordan was able to secure a secure finish in 12th place just behind round one winner Valle Makela. Jordan added: "The race was much better than the first however its still not quite where we want to be yet. I’m hoping that at Thruxton it will all come together and we will progress up the leader board!"
Jordan’s next race is at Thruxton on the 5th and 6th of May.
