The next two rounds of the 2007 Formula BMW UK championship were held at the Croft circuit in North Yorkshire. With Croft being another circuit that Jordan relished competing on last year, he came into the weekend with a high hope of recording his first top ten finishes. After an immediate problem with his engine in the first practice on Friday morning, Jordan was prevented from getting any practice in the morning session before qualifying. With the engine feeling down on power Jordan qualified in 13th position for the first race and 15th place for the second race. Jordan said: “The power just doesnt feel like it is there, before the problem with the engine it felt really strong but now it just feels flat. I make up time in the start of the lap but loose it all at the end of the lap because that is where all the quick stuff is.”
Both races went extremely well for Jordan, from 13th in the first race he finished in a very good 8th place, the best so far in the season. After battling with many experienced drivers Jordan felt that the race had been a real success. In round 8 of the championship Jordan also made up 5 positions from his starting grid finishing again in the top ten in 10th place. He said: “The weekend is a signal that things are on the up and by finishing in the top ten in both races I know that in time it wont been long before I could break into the top six. The engine definitely feels underpowered after the oil problem and I think if i had a really strong engine a top six could have been on the cards.” Jordan's next race is at the Oulton Park circuit on the 23 rd and 24 th June.
