News - Formula BMW UK Championship Rounds 15 and 16 Brands Hatch

The Formula BMW UK series returned to Brands Hatch for the penultimate meeting of the year. After visiting the circuit at the start of the year, Jordan hoped for a much better result on his return visit. However as had been the case in the opening meeting of the year Jordan and indeed, the team did not have the ultimate pace around the short tight circuit. After a very disappointing qualifying on Saturday, Jordan had to start from 14th in the first race and 16th in the second race.

The first race on Sunday was a very wet affair. With rain sweeping across the Kent circuit it was always going to be a difficult task to make up places. However Jordan drove a very good race in torrential conditions to finish up in a strong 8th place.

The second race was going well again for Jordan, up into 10th place halfway through the race, until a collision with Michael Moyers ended his race with disappointment.

Jordan said: "The weekend hasn’t gone to plan at all. I came here with hopes of a podium but as soon as we didn’t have the pace in qualifying that idea ended! The car was very good in the wet in the first race and that was a strong result but then second race slightly dampened the weekend as again I got taken out of the race and it wasn’t my fault. Onto Knockhill now and I am really up for the challenge of trying to get my first podium of the year."
