News - Jordan to race Formula Renault UK World Series round with Mark Burdett Motorsport

Jordan will return to the Formula Renault UK championship at the World Series round held at Silverstone this weekend with Mark Burdett Motorsport. The arrangement sees Jordan starting a fresh in a new team and a renewed confidence as he looks to make a mark on the Formula Renault Championship in the biggest event of the year. The news comes a week after Jordan completed his summer exams for his 5 A level’s so timing for the Devonshire youngster could not be at a more appropriate time as he can now focus totally on the racing.

Jordan said:
"The arrangement for the World Series round is great. Having struggled previously in the championship, prior to my exams, due to lack of data and also not having a team mate I think racing with Mark Burdett is going to be positive change of direction and a good step forward. I will now have a team mate that has won races and who is also at the top of the championship and this really gives me something to chase. If I can just listen to all the advice the team give me and drive to level I know I can, I think the weekend could be successful. It’s about time I got a good result and I think this weekend would be a fantastic time to get it in front of the huge crowds that will be at Silverstone!"

Jordan has 1 practice session to get to grips with the full GP circuit at Silverstone before qualifying on Saturday. Sunday will see the crowds flocking to the circuit as tickets for the event are free to the public. The Formula Renault races are at 9.00 and 4.30 on Sunday.
